Welcome to Durham’s Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies (IMEMS) Learning Centre, where we lead by our three principles of expertise, experience and excellence.
The IMEMS Learning Centre offers online courses designed to provide quality skills training in various aspects of Medieval and Early Modern Studies.
In 2024, the Centre is offering two courses: Latin Medieval Palaeography and English Early Modern Palaeography. These intensive, two-week courses aim to provide students with the necessary skills to identify, read and contextualise Medieval scripts in Latin and Early Modern scripts in English.
